Season of Strangers by Kat Martin

Hi Friends,

SEASON OF STRANGERS is one of my paranormal romantic suspense novels, a wild story, by far the most unusual book I’ve ever written.  It’s about a young woman named Julie Ferris who spends an afternoon on the beach with her sister and winds up missing several hours of time.  The very sexy hero is Commander Val Zarkazian, but I don’t want to give away what happens during those missing hours.  It’s an intriguing tale, scary, sensual, and romantic.

So...if you are brave enough to try something different, I hope you will watch for SEASON OF STRANGERS! It is being re-issued with a new cover and was just released today!!

Dear Margaret,

Dear Margaret by Pamela Ackerson is a fairly short and straight-forward account of a pen-pal relationship between friends Harry and Margaret, which takes place during WWII, while Harry is away with the US Navy Reserves and later as he becomes part of the Black Cats air crew. As the war unfolds, Harry and Margaret exchange letters, each relaying the events at their respective locations.

Having joined the reserves before his senior year of high school, Harry is called away in May prior to his graduation, and sent to a base in Hawaii. Meanwhile, Margaret’s letters to Harry tell of her schoolgirl life and mundane events back home. While Harry is in Hawaii, Pearl Harbor is attacked, and the entire course of the war (as well as the content of Harry’s and Margaret’s letters) changes. Margaret drops out of school to join the war effort, while Harry’s missions grow increasingly more dangerous.

Though at times Harry’s account of the events taking place around him is a bit dry and technical, especially when he details the various equipment he uses, the book also includes a fascinating amount...

Author Alert!!

Okay, **AUTHORS** we have a new site that's selling our books for twice the price (hell, even my freebie was $5). The info is listed below. Best part? When you fill out the DMCA form, the books are removed lightning fast and the links thereafter give a 404 error. The only time consuming part is finding the links to the books.

I contacted the website, not expecting to get a response, but a man calling himself Jack Brown admitted the site had been breached by a user. He says the site is meant for academic books but because anyone with a site account can publish books to the site, someone has listed a TON of fiction, and most are doubled in price.

Honestly, he seemed shocked to hear about this and has been helpful in getting books unlisted, however, I see a LOT of books up there that I know don't belong. So I'm passing this onto you so you can look for the books you wrote or published, and can pass this on to your writer friends and publishing houses.

Life, Love, and Online Dating by Judith Hill

Life, Love, and Online Dating

Is a review magazine dedicated to romance fiction really the right place to offer a treatise on online dating from the perspective of a sixty-year-old former romance author? Probably not. But thanks to the support and indulgence of one of my dearest friends (who just happens to be Affaire’s owner) here it is...

Looking for love has never been easy. Certainly not when you’re an awkward, acne-prone teenager, and not when you’re a clearer-skinned young adult starting out and seeking a spouse and life partner. But what happens when you had the fairy tale/happily-ever-after, and it turns out to be neither happy nor ever-after. Suddenly you’re out there looking again. Only this time with wrinkles and age spots and sagging parts you didn’t even realize could sag!

But, at least this time, you’ve got a lifetime’s accumulated wisdom, so it should be easier, right? Wrong. Because guess what? Beneath that “mature adult” veneer, you realize—to your horror and shock—Crap! You’re harboring THE SAME insecurities and self-doubts you had when you were sixteen or seventeen. Throw in what’s foreign territory to many older people—social media, dating apps, and online sites—and suddenly you’re in an...
